How do I enter a line break in a text box?

I paid for Infix PDF Editor Pro (Windows 10) so that I could correct the OCR text in a PDF. I am trying to correct text in a text box, which is several lines separated by line breaks. I have tried the normal ways of entering a line break – ENTER and SHIFT+ENTER – but when I do, no line break is inserted. I have also tried creating a new text box, but again, nothing I do creates a line break.

How do I enter a line break in a text box? THIS SHOULD NOT BE DIFFICULT.
